Chocolate Effective Safe for High Blood Pressure

Chocolate in addition to being our most favorite foods and lowering the stress it also can be used as a natural medicine that effective and safe to normalize our blood pressure. Research shows that the natural flavanols contained in cacao and dark chocolate is very effective to help lower high blood pressure.

Flavanols in chocolate work lowering high blood pressure by inhibiting angiotensin works that will affect the balance of fluids in the body. Flavanols are also very good to regulate blood pressure because it can increase the formation of the endothelial nitric oxide which shows the effect of relaxing the walls of blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.

The results showed flavanol function has been published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology. But also keep in mind that the research is to use unsweetened cocoa like those found in many special dark chocolate. The function will not be the same as chocolate found in sweetened milk chocolate and semi-sweet varieties.
